A few days ago, someone asked me in an interview, “What are the health benefits of Face Yoga?” I didn’t even know where to begin. Many people are doing Face Yoga to lift their face naturally and improve their complexion for a more radiant youthful look. Some of you might think, why should I even start? I will never have the discipline to do the exercises. But did you know that practicing Face Yoga has an incredible amount of health benefits?
In fact, there is such a long list that it compelled me to write this article.
Health Benefits of Face Yoga

♥ It makes you feel happier. Through exercising the smile muscles, your brain releases tiny molecules called neuropeptides to help fight off stress. Other neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin and endorphins come into play too. The endorphins act as a mild pain reliever, and serotonin is an antidepressant.
♥ Exercising the facial and especially the jaw muscles can prevent the jaw from shrinking, helping to keep a healthy jaw shape.
♥ Exercising the facial muscles reduces the effect of aging when the bone structure starts receding. Researchers found reductions in the angles of the brow, nose, and upper jawbones occur as we age.
♥ Face Yoga teaches the correct tongue position, which helps you breathe through the nose. It is an essential part of good health.
♥ Face Yoga might fix long term neck issues.
♥ Some Face Yoga eye exercises can improve vision.
♥ It boosts your confidence.
♥ It is a great treatment for Bell’s Palsy to regain muscle function and coordination as well as a symmetrical face.
♥ By releasing tension in the scalp muscles and increasing blood circulation, it can stimulate hair growth.
